She taught English for several years before deciding to make a career change and follow her life-long fascination with holistic medicine. Her interest in how the body and mind work together to create well-being urged her to take up studies in Social Care and Counselling and, eventually, Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Monika's education and work experience have given her an appreciation of the transforming and healing potential of therapeutic relationship as well as the tools to help facilitate that process.
Monika treats a variety of conditions, but has a special interest in gynecological issues, treatment of pain and stress/anxiety related disorders, which could include gastrointestinal problems, low energy, headaches, arrhythmias or an array of skin conditions. She combines knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as the most recent research in acupuncture and health management in order to provide the best quality care to her patients.
