Rachael Forrest BA, DipAc, BAcC
Rachael has been qualified as an acupuncturist since 2000 and has developed a very successful practice helping patients with many different needs. In 2003 she set up the Natural Fertility Centre which has allowed her to specialise further in treating fertility issues with acupuncture . Rachael works with the Natural Fertility Centre and the Natural Pregnancy Clinic but also continues to treat patients for arthritis and other issues. Rachael has also qualified in facial acupuncture & massage.
Alongside Fiona Wolfenden, Rachael is one of the Owners & Directors of the Albany Street Clinic and is also the founder of The Natural Fertility Centre. She is a Senior Associate Member of the Royal Society of Medicine.

Anu Sharma DipAc, MBAcC
Anu graduated as an acupuncturist from the Northern College of Acupuncture (NCA) in York and is a member of the British Acupuncture Council. Before studying acupuncture she trained as a dietician and worked in the NHS. She currently works as a Research Dietician at Edinburgh University.
Anu treats all kinds of health issues and adopts a relaxed gentle approach whilst trying to get to the root of the issue. She also has qualified in cosmetic acupuncture which is a safe and effective way to minimise lines, restore youthful looking skin and bring life to the face.
Jill Storstein DipAc, MBAcC
Jill is a graduate of the Northern College of Acupuncture and joined the Albany Street Clinic in 2014 to pursue her interest in women’s health and fertility support. Jill has a gentle and considerate approach, taking time to really listen to your story and get to the heart of underlying problems. She uses acupuncture, massage and other traditional Chinese medicine techniques to help restore your natural balance and health. Jill is interested in all conditions and has a particular interest in woman’s health, chronic illness and emotional health.
FIona Wolfenden RGN, MRCHM, DipAc, MBAcC
Fiona has qualified in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicinal Herbs for over 15 years. She is also a Registered General Nurse and experienced massage therapist. Fiona has also qualified in facial acupuncture and massage.
She enjoys the challenge of diagnosing her patients from a Chinese perspective and integrates this with her knowledge of Western Medicine. Fiona has many years experience of patients with endometriosis, PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and recurrent miscarriage. Fiona also works as part of the Natural Fertility Centre and our Arthritis and pregnancy clinics.
Monika Niemczynowicz DipAc, MBAcC
Monika is a graduate of Northern College of Acupuncture in York and a member of British Acupuncture Council, which is the main professional body for the practice of traditional acupuncture in the UK.
Prior to qualifying as an acupuncturist, Monika earned a Master's degree in English Literature. She taught English for several years before deciding to make a career change and follow her life-long fascination with holistic medicine. Her interest in how the body and mind work together to create well-being urged her to take up studies in Social Care and Counselling and, eventually, Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Monika's education and work experience have given her an appreciation of the transforming and healing potential of therapeutic relationship as well as the tools to help facilitate that process.
Monika treats a variety of conditions, but has a special interest in gynecological issues, treatment of pain and stress/anxiety related disorders, which could include gastrointestinal problems, low energy, headaches, arrhythmias or an array of skin conditions. Dee has eight years’ experience as a fertility coach and in that time has helped hundreds of couples become pregnant. She gained her fertility qualification from the University of Central Lancashire, graduating with distinction in 2006. In the same year she set up Edinburgh’s first private fertility awareness clinic, later joining with Rachael Forrest and Fiona Wolfenden to establish The Natural Fertility Centre.
Dee has a wealth of knowledge about getting pregnant and all matters fertility. She guides couples through the maze of fertility treatments and helps bridge the gap between the GP and the specialist hospital consultant. Her strength is her supportive approach - sessions are unhurried and there is plenty of time to talk and ask questions; she leaves no stone unturned in her thorough consultations. Clients quickly gain confidence from her positive and calm style. and many of them have been able to achieve a natural pregnancy after consulting her with no need for any further intervention.
Birth and Parenting Coaching/Preparation
Tricia is a mindset coach specifically around fertility, birth and early parenting as well as a birth and postnatal doula. Tricia is a member of the NHS Lothian Maternity Services Liaison Committee; a fully certified EFT Practitioner and member of the Association for the Advancement of Meridian Energy Techniques; Area Representative at Doula UK for Scotland; founded Edinburgh Birth and Baby; one of the founding members for Juno Perinatal Mental Health Support (which provides peer support to mums across the city for Perinatal Mental Health) and co-facilitates a Positive Birth Movement group in Edinburgh.
Tricia supports mums and dads to turn fears, hopes, worries, anxieties, overwhelm and stress into calm, relaxed, confident and positive birth and parenting experiences. She specialises in working with women who want to explore their birth options post fertility, trauma, c-section (VBAC, HBAC) and has expertise at supporting twins and multiples. She has vast experience working with mums and dads with perinatal mental health illnesses or those that are struggling for whatever reason who want to gain a calm and positive mindset either before or after their baby has arrived. Sessions can be booked individually or over four week programmes.
She also provides specialist sessions for Birth Trauma Recovery/Healing for both mums and dads, and is available for one off EFT sessions that can be highly effective at reducing fears, phobias, sabotaging behaviours, limiting beliefs or can be used as a tool for helping you through a specific event/situation, releasing any blocks or negative emotions you may have or helping you come to peace with an experience.

Jules has a reputation for getting to the heart of the matter. Her training began in Ireland in 2005 where she studied Holistic massage and Reflexology. In the nine years that followed she refined her skills and furthered her training in Scotland, France and India. Jane Jamieson PhD, Kinetic Chain release and Body work
Jane is our resident nutritionist (see below) but has been working with the body for 17 years to realign the joints, release chronic tension patterns, and help clients to recover from injuries, old and new. By realigning the skeleton, muscles can come into balance and mobility can be restored. By skilfully manipulating the tissues around an injury or site of pain, the joints can be realigned, the tissues can be stretched and scar tissue and adhesions can be released. As an experienced body therapist it is possible quickly pin point the areas which need treated and you will get feedback as to whether the treatment is likely to be of benefit. Within 1-3 treatments it will be possible to tell if the treatment is working and results will quickly follow. Jane has always had a deep interest in the structure and function of the body. She has a BSc. Physiology and has researched and trained in many modalities and sought out teachers and practitioners from America, Canada and Australia to learn the most effective techniques.
