Trauma Centred Trauma Sensitive Yoga - TCTSY - is a research based, clinical intervention to support anyone with complex trauma and chronic, treatment resistant complex PTSD.
TCTSY uses yoga based movements to create real-time experience of being present in your body, noticing, and empowering you through offering opportunities to take control and choose what you do with your own body. While the yoga movements have a basis in Yoga they can be adapted to chair, seated on floor and standing.
Trauma Sensitive Yoga helps you learn to recognise and tolerate physical sensations, in order to begin to help you regain a feeling of safety inside your body. As awareness and sensations within your body become more familiar, the less frightening they can become.
