Jill recently became a Co-Director of the Albany Street Clinic in April 2023. She has been a member of the team for over 10 years. Jill trained with Jing Institute of Massage and Complementary Medicine. She combines a variety of bodywork techniques to create a unique massage experience.

Monika Niemczynowicz, DipAc, MBAcC

Monika has been working as an acupuncture clinician for over a decade. She joined the Albany Street Clinic shortly after graduating from the Northern College of Acupuncture and has since developed a well-established, lively practice supporting people through both fertility-related and general health concerns.

Her clinical work is rooted in a thoughtful, patient-centred approach, combining Chinese medicine with modern understanding of reproductive and systemic health. Monika works with a wide range of conditions but has a particular interest in fertility, menstrual health, and the broader mind–body physiology that underpins well-being.

Charlotte Machin, DipAc, MRCHM

ACUPUNCTURE & CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE

Charlotte studied Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine at the Escuela MTC Madrid-Universidad del Atlántico in Spain, following the standard curriculum of the Beijing and Yunnan universities. After graduating, she ran a successful clinic in Spain for several years before relocating to Edinburgh to continue her profession in the UK.

She is deeply passionate about her work and takes a person-centred approach, ensuring that each treatment is tailored to the unique needs of her patients, treating a wide range of conditions, from pain management and stress-related disorders to digestive health, immune support, and general well-being (for both adults and children).

Eleanor Dearden

DipAc, MAcS TCM

Eleanor trained with the College of Chinese Medicine in Edinburgh, gaining a degree-level diploma in acupuncture, and she is an accredited member of The Acupuncture Society. She has a lifelong interest in a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, and has worked in many areas of healthcare, including the NHS, mental health and complementary health therapies.

Anu Sharma, DipAc, MBAcC

Anu graduated as an acupuncturist from the Northern College of Acupuncture (NCA) in York. Before studying acupuncture she trained as a dietician and worked in the NHS. She currently works as a Research Dietician at Edinburgh University.

Omayma trained at the College of Chinese Medicine in Edinburgh, qualifying with distinction. The main objective of her work is to bring healing, comfort, and a sense of harmony to my patients. Acupuncture, along with other treatments she uses, pave the way to try to achieve this goal.

Osteopathy

Eleanor Leyden Dunbar, M.Ost(Dist)

Eleanor is a qualified osteopath offering calm, personalised osteopathic care, taking time to listen, assess thoroughly, and tailor treatment to each individual.

She works with adults, babies and children, and also enjoys supporting older patients who may benefit from more regular, ongoing osteopathic care to maintain mobility and manage persistent aches and pains. She has a particular interest in supporting women through pregnancy and postnatal care. She is a certified in Mummy MOT assessments and Restore C-Section Scar Therapy.

Eleanor holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Paediatric Osteopathy (CPO), following an additional year of specialist postgraduate training, allowing me to work confidently and gently with babies and children using gentle and appropriate techniques such as cranial osteopathy.

Physiotherapy

Josh Hoy,

BSc (Hons) MCSP

Josh trained and qualified as a Physiotherapist from Ulster University in Northern Ireland, where he then worked as a Junior (Band 5) Rotational Physiotherapist. He subsequently moved to Scotland to undertake a Specialist Physiotherapist role at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where he continues to work.

Our nutritionist, Marie Dandie is passionate about food and its role in the promotion of optimum health. always considering your uniqueness in terms of your current health and body function, combined with your goals, lifestyle, food preferences and budget. Marie supports you and makes it achievable for you, remembering all the constraints you have to work around. Every aspect of your consultation is about meeting your needs and goals, supporting and encouraging you along the way.

Jenny's passion for movement initially led her into a career as a Teacher of Physical Education and Dance, later becoming a Pilates and Yoga practitioner.

Jenny has been a practising Pilates and Yoga teacher for nearly 10 years and in 2023 completed training with the Centre for Trauma and Embodiment at the Justice Research Institute in Boston in Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga. She is also trained in supporting women with pelvic floor dysfunction through the Adore Your Pelvic Floor programme and has led workshops in Pelvic Floor Health, Breathwork and Trauma.

Alison is an experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who works with children, adolescents, and adults. She has an MA in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh and has a Post Graduate Diploma in CBT from the University of Hertfordshire.
Alison is a fully accredited member of the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies)
